Counseling

Individuals
We can meet one-on-one together to talk about whatever is on your mind – free of judgement and with space to (re)discover your voice. I use a wide range of approaches and theories and work with you to find a therapy style.
Individual counseling is a chance to talk and work together without any partner, S.O.(s), mom, dad, siblings, kids, in-laws and/or friends who want to add their 2 cents' worth, and/or friends. Maybe you just want to sit with your dog/cat/bird/iguana (because we can do that with telehealth appointments!). We can talk about whatever it is on your mind, addressing whomever and whatever to get your path cleared again.
Couples
I specialize in helping couples remember (or learn) how to communicate – the true secret to intimacy, romance, better parenting, and sharing laughter again. Whether you are partnered for months, years, or decades, I can help you talk, listen, understand, respect, and hope. While I will not be your answer book, I can be your guidebook.
I will always remind you that your relationship is a one-of-a-kind boutique, requiring regular updates. Your togetherness is unique. I will remind you of the importance of your voices being heard – not read on a screen!
As an LGBTQIA+, monogamous, and polyam ally, I will work with you and your partner(s) to navigate your relationship with respect and room for all to listen and speak their truths in turn.

Families
After establishing couples therapy and strengthening foundations, we can discuss whether family would benefit from joining in. We may discuss:
- Boundaries – pros and cons
- What and if and how to negotiate
- What "consequences" mean and how to enforce them in positive ways
How and when to talk face-to-face. We work on silencing phones, not people.
